Team based online coding competition, where we had to solve tricky maths problems under 4 hours.
This was my second time participating in Hash Code and, again, my team chose to work with Python. The Problem Statement was original and at first glance very complex, I welcomed the challenge.
Looking back I think I overcomplicated things and that I could have done slightly better. But it was a great experience nonetheless.

It was a first experience for everyone in my team regarding this kind of challenge. It were 24 hours of hardworking, frustration, enjoyment, and, above else, learning. I was so into it I spent the whole time commited to the challenges, only pausing for eating!
Hash Code is a team programming competition organized by Google. We have the liberty to choose a team and a programming language, after which we are given a Google engineering problem to solve. The more optimal the solution we find, the more points we get.
It was my first experience in any programming competition of the sort. Even though it was demanding and a bit stressfull, at the same time I had loads of fun and learned a lot! We rose to the challenge and, in the end, achieved a fairly good score!

globalgamejam.org Check my submission! Play my game! This was my second GGJ and I went with a group of 5 friends. We were all programmers, but each had different skillsets. We were able to make use of that and cooperate efficiently. We had lots of fun and learned with each other.
I had stopped doing anything related to games for a while, so it was an awesome experience to return to it. We were able to finish our game and everyone seemed to enjoy playing when we showcased it.

globalgamejam.org Check my submission! Play my game! The Global Game Jam is the world's largest game jam event taking place around the world at physical locations. After a short video keynote where the theme is announced, we are given 48 hours to develop a game based on it. The GGJ stimulates collaboration and is not a competition.
I dove into this event with my Unity skills from online courses and a group of friends with interest but no prior knowledge. It was an amazing experience since the beggining. We got to put our ideas into a real game and showcased it to many other people also passionate about videogames. Though the GGJ is not a competition, a local election was organized where the participant teams voted. In the end, we got 2nd place!
Retro-inspired Game Jam where the theme was 'Discovery'.
